Frozen Foods

Seventy-five percent of Italpizza's production is deep frozen. The lowering of the temperature is accomplished by using state of the art equipment immediately after cooking and the application of the last ingredients. The food is rapidly exposed to a temperature of -40° C and is maintained at -25° C.

This guarantees an extremely low microbiological organism level and therefore the purity of the product, with the further advantage of prolonging the shelf life of the product.

Before packaging and shipping, a series of controls further assures that the entire manufacturing process is carried out in full compliance with HACCP standards, authenticated by ISO 9001, BRC and IFS Certifications

All processes are rigorously recorded by our highly efficient Quality Control Department.

For years, the company has had in place a traceability system which permits reconstructing the history of each single pizza at any moment.

After receiving approval from Quality Control, the product is stored at -25° C in a completely automated deep freeze warehouse while waiting to be shipped. This allows Italpizza to strictly adhere to FIFO (First In First Out) criteria.
