Most of the ITALPIZZA pizzas that are targeted for the Italian market are not found in the Frozen Food category, rather in Fresh Foods.
In this case, the finished product is packaged in an alimentary flowpack without modifying the atmosphere and is maintained at a temperature between 0-4° C. This causes a bacteriostatic effect (bacterial growth is arrested) and lengthens shelf life of the product to up to eight days from date of production.
